On the right is a piece of fabric that was first used as a mop-up cloth. After washing it, I decided it needed more, and so did a masking tape resist on it, using a deep wine for the covering color. I was very pleased with the dramatic results. |
One of my favorite resists, masking tape is fun and easy! On the left is a piece of ombre cloth to which I applied hand-torn squares of 3" wide masking tape, and then rolled over the masked cloth with thickened black dye. The original colors come through in the darkened part of the cloth too, making a very rich fabric. 42" x 42"
