A new Terrace quilt

I've been wanting to do another one for some time, and that time has finally come. Below is the piece of fabric that is the starting point:

First, I rip the entire piece into strips, and sew each of those to a strip of purple ombre fabric. After I sew two of the resulting strips together, I cut them the other way, to form squares. Below you can see the cutting operation on the table, and the squares in the process of being arranged on the wall.
